ARTICLE II — Verification Services, Audit Trails and Document Integrity
2.1 Verification Services
The Trust Center™ provides verification services intended to assist Users in evaluating completed electronic transactions processed through the Platform.
Verification services may include:
document verification;
Verification ID validation;
Certificate of Completion™ review;
audit summaries;
transaction history;
authentication information;
completion status;
integrity indicators;
future verification services.
Verification services are informational in nature and do not replace independent legal review.
2.2 Verification IDs
The Platform may generate a unique Verification ID for eligible completed transactions.
Verification IDs are intended to:
uniquely identify completed transactions;
support document verification;
simplify audit review;
assist customer support;
facilitate enterprise administration;
support future verification technologies.
A Verification ID is intended solely as a Platform reference and does not, by itself, establish the legal validity or enforceability of a document.
2.3 Certificate of Completion™
Upon successful completion of eligible transactions, the Platform may generate a Certificate of Completion™.
The Certificate of Completion™ may include:
Verification ID;
document identifiers;
transaction timestamps;
participant information;
authentication events;
audit summaries;
document hash values where implemented;
signing workflow information;
future verification metadata.
The Certificate of Completion™ is designed to document the electronic transaction as processed by the Platform and should be considered together with the underlying document and applicable law.
2.4 Audit Trails
The Platform maintains audit trails intended to improve transparency, accountability, and verification.
Audit information may include:
document creation;
document upload;
document preparation;
recipient assignment;
invitation delivery;
authentication events;
electronic signature events;
initials;
acknowledgments;
approvals;
communication history;
timestamps;
IP address information;
browser information;
device information;
workflow completion;
administrative actions;
future operational events.
Audit trails are intended to assist in understanding the history of a transaction but do not independently determine the legal validity of the transaction.
2.5 Authentication Records
The Trust Center™ may display or reference authentication-related information associated with completed transactions.
Authentication information may include:
successful account authentication;
guest signer verification;
email verification;
Multi-Factor Authentication events where applicable;
authentication timestamps;
session information;
security events;
future authentication technologies.
Authentication information is maintained to support Platform security and transaction verification.
2.6 Timestamps
The Platform records timestamps associated with significant transaction events.
Examples include:
document creation;
document preparation;
invitation delivery;
document access;
authentication;
signature application;
completion;
verification;
administrative actions;
future workflow events.
Displayed timestamps are based upon Platform records and may be presented using the applicable time zone or another reasonable format selected by the Platform.
2.7 Document Integrity
The Company seeks to preserve the integrity of completed electronic records through commercially reasonable technical and operational safeguards.
Integrity protections may include:
controlled document workflows;
audit logging;
secure storage;
authentication;
version management;
verification records;
future integrity technologies.
No electronic system can guarantee absolute protection against every possible alteration, corruption, or external event.
2.8 Tamper-Evident Technologies
Where implemented, the Platform may utilize tamper-evident technologies intended to assist in identifying whether an electronic record has been modified after completion.
Such technologies may include:
cryptographic hashing;
integrity validation;
document comparison;
metadata verification;
audit reconciliation;
future tamper-evident technologies.
Tamper-evident features are intended to improve confidence in document integrity but do not constitute legal determinations regarding authenticity or enforceability.
2.9 Hash Validation
Where supported, the Platform may generate cryptographic hash values associated with electronic documents.
Hash values may be used to:
identify completed records;
assist integrity verification;
compare document versions;
support audit activities;
assist future verification technologies.
A matching hash value generally indicates that the compared electronic records are identical with respect to the hashing process used; however, hash validation alone does not establish authorship, authority, legality, or contractual enforceability.
2.10 Verification Procedures
Verification procedures may involve one or more Platform processes, including:
Verification ID lookup;
Certificate of Completion™ review;
audit trail examination;
authentication review;
document integrity validation;
metadata comparison;
communication history review;
future verification methods.
Verification procedures may change as technology and security practices evolve.
2.11 User Responsibilities
Users remain responsible for:
protecting Verification IDs where appropriate;
